Volunteers
If you want to be a part of a vital service at the heart of your local community and you’d like to develop your skills, consider volunteering for CAB.
2nd April 2009 - We currently have a substantial number of volunteer applications to process, and are now only seeking applicants to work as volunteer advisors at our Tyseley and Handsworth bureaux. Changes to this position will be reported here.
Volunteer Advisers
You don't need any particular qualifications or experience to train as an advisor. You need to be:
- Good at listening
- Able to work in a team;
- Able to read and write English
- Do basic arithmetic
- Open-minded and non-judgmental
- Enjoy helping people
- Able to commit two days a week
We will train you and offer support during and after training.
Volunteer Administrators
You need to be:
- Good at listening
- Able to work in a team
- Able to read and write English
- Do basic arithmetic
- Able to commit two days a week
Volunteer IT Support
You will need to have one or more of :
- Degree level qualifications in IT
- MCSA
- 1 year's experience working in IT. In addition you must be
- Able to commit at least two days a week
- Quick to learn
- Capable of using your initiative
